Responsibilities & Standards Include

  • Maintain a safe production and warehouse environment.

  • Ensure team compliance with laws, codes, regulations, and organizational policies.

  • Ensure quality standards are followed, including proper assembly/testing of products, tracking of lot and serial numbers, stamping of cases, etc.

  • Inspect raw parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and final products to verify quality.

  • Communicate with the Production Scheduler, Purchasing Manager, other Production Supervisors, and the Director of Operations to prioritize and plan work.

  • Communicate with the Order Completion Production Supervisor and 2nd Shift Production Supervisor as needed to maintain the flow of work order tracking and completion.

  • Oversee production activities with a focus on completing work in Promise Date order.

  • Participate in screening potential employees, including interviews, tours, and assessments.

  • Assist with the onboarding training regimen for new Production Associates.

  • Evaluate the performance of personnel and communicate results with Human Resources.

  • Approve employees work time through the company Insperity system.

  • Communicate with the Purchasing personnel needed items/equipment to support operations.

  • Supervise Production Activities such that no more than 5% of production time is interrupted:

  • During each shift, Production Associates are present for 8.5 hours/ 510 minutes with 70 minutes used for breaks, lunch, and end-of-day activities, leaving 440 minutes for production. 95% or greater uninterrupted production time indicates 418 productive minutes during a shift and 22 minutes is the maximum interruption time.

  • Assist (when necessary) with the coordination of sub-assembly production, including:

  • Building diaphragm and vent assemblies

  • Washing and organizing diaphragms

  • Drilling spring tower caps

  • Restocking consumables such as Loctite, Rector Seal, Aero Lube, or Rubber Cement

  • Printing and organizing badges

  • Assign work activities to Production Associates, addressing production bottlenecks, equipment failures, sub-assembly builds, employee absences, etc.

  • Communicate with Inventory Specialist or Purchasing personnel of inventory issues.

  • Ensure satisfactory working condition of production equipment, requesting Maintenance assistance promptly when repair or recalibration of equipment is needed.

  • Report issues to the Director of Operations.

Schedule: Minimum of 3 months on 2nd shift for training (2:30 pm- 11 pm) with the possibility of moving to 1st shift
