Job Title: Wireless Device Management Specialist (2-4 Years)
Location: Fairfax, Virginia (Onsite/Hybrid-Preferred, Remote)
Job Summary:
The Wireless Device Management Specialist will play a critical role in improving the overall availability, security, and efficiency of wireless devices and services for the client. The specialist will lead large-scale deployments of wireless devices, develop and implement Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) policies, and design secure Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solutions. This role requires hands-on experience with MDM tools, preferably Microsoft Intune, and strong project management skills to manage wireless device initiatives across multiple agencies.


Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Serve as the project or program manager for large-scale deployments of wireless devices, including smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
• Device and Service Configuration: Develop appropriate device and service configurations to meet client needs and ensure efficient scheduling and delivery of wireless products.
• Mobile Device Management (MDM) & Mobile Application Management (MAM): Configure and deploy MDM and MAM policies, with a preference for experience in Microsoft Intune, Jamf, ManageEngine, or AirWatch.
• BYOD Solutions: Design and implement secure BYOD solutions that comply with client, agency, and external requirements.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to DIT and agency personnel on wireless device management, security protocols, and best practices.
• Vendor Management: Design and implement Client-specific vendor web portals to provide easy access to billing, service, and support information.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure all wireless device deployments and configurations adhere to Client security standards and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.


Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in wireless device management, MDM, and MAM policies.
Experience with Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Manage Engine, AirWatch, or other MDM tools.
Proven experience in managing large-scale wireless device deployments and BYOD solutions.

Skills:
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in mobile device management or related fields are preferred.


Work Environment: This role may involve a combination of onsite, remote, and hybrid work environments depending on project requirements and state government policies. The role will involve frequent collaboration with various agencies and DIT staff.

Special Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to obtain a Virginia driver's license within 60 days if not currently held.
Ability to manage tight deadlines and work after hours when necessary.

Physical Demands:
The position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, operate modern office equipment, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
Travel to various client’s sites may be required.
