Service Writer

Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Service Writer for our Dealership Service Team. This position works closely with the Service Manager, Mechanics, & Parts Suppliers to serve our customers. You will be responsible for sourcing parts, creating work orders & invoices, moving vehicles, packing and shipping parts, storing parts, assisting 

Responsibilities:

• Input incoming inventory information into computer software
• Source parts needed from 8 different parts suppliers while comparing prices and availability
• Track all parts ordered and provide updates to shop manager
• Creates invoices and tracks mechanics' labor hours per vehicle
• Communicate with dealership when vehicles are ready for sale
• Store incoming parts and work with suppliers to keep parts in inventory

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in automotive industry
• Basic to Intermediate mechanical knowledge
• Shopkey Computer Software experience a Plus
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong work ethic
