What we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Truck Driver to join our team.

You will safely and efficiently drive a large commercial vehicle to deliver cargo. All safety regulations and standards regarding size, weight, and break periods must be followed. Our ideal candidate has a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), has previous training in operating and driving and be able to drive in all conditions, regardless of the time of day.

You will also be responsible for receiving cargo, parking in appropriate docks, tracking mileage, and documenting schedules, inventory delivery confirmation, and manifests.

Responsibilities

Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.

Load and unload cargo.

Record cargo deliveries.

Refuel and clean vehicle.

Report road incidents to the dispatcher.

Plan routes to meet delivery schedules

Supervise loading and unloading of cargo off truck and ensure cargo is secured

Follow all state and national large truck driving safety regulations and standards

Complete documentation for mileage and cargo; keep track of mileage, fuel, and toll expenses; confirm inventory matches shipping documents

Refuel vehicle and check or replace oil as needed

Inspect truck daily for damage or maintenance problems§ Maintain vehicle equipment

Plan routes using GPS system.

Get goods to the client on time.

Maintain a positive attitude with customers and his team.

Keep commercial driver license up to date.

Position Requirements

Valid Class A CDL License

Good driving record, No more than 3 moving violations in the last 2 years

Able to operate a Commercial motor vehicle.

2.5 years Driving Experience.

Able to Pass a DOT Physical and Drug Screen

Comfortable using GPS equipment.

Ensuring that you are always fit to maneuver the truck.

Compliance with all road and transport rules.

Ability to drive safely, irrespective of the weather or time of day

Basic computer capabilities

Good Interpersonal Skills with strong oral & written communication skills

Must provide a medical certificate.

High school diploma.

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Valid and current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

2+ years professional driving experience or related work experience

Must have a clean driving record with no recent moving violations

Proficient at driving, maneuvering, and parking large vehicles

Physically fit and able to sit for long time periods, perform truck maintenance, and lift 25 pounds comfortably

Candidate should be dependable, hardworking and an effective communicator
