Home Energy Technician

Job duties include the following:

• Make energy efficient improvements to homes throughout South Carolina and North Carolina; i.e., air seal, duct seal, insulation, etc.

• Evaluate the amount and type of insulation needed, measure and cut insulation to fit into walls and around pipes. Secure insulation with staples, tape, or screws.

• Seal/caulk areas within residential homes; i.e., sealing installed between door jambs, sealing at the bottom of a door, sealing receptacles and switch outlets in the interior, etc.

• Responsible for residential crawl space encapsulation, sump pump installation, and dehumidifier installation. Performs crawl space repair and remediation to include inspections, cleaning, moisture barriers, ventilation, and french drains. Install plastic barriers to protect crawlspaces from moisture damage.

The successful candidate must be able to travel four days each week, be dependable, highly motivated, have a positive attitude, pass a background check, pass a drug screen, and possess a valid South Carolina driver's license.
