Assistant Security Operations Supervisor

The Assistant Security Operations Supervisor (ASOS) is responsible to assist the Security Manager in the daily supervision of the Data Centre Security Team. They will oversee security personnel, ensuring the site is properly staffed and officers are trained and motivated. The ASOS monitors and reports on the completion of assigned security activities each day. The Assistant Security Operations Supervisor will also work closely with the client contact to achieve goals and objectives set forth by Marksman Security and the association.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in corrections, law enforcement, military security, account management and or other related fields.

 

Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to:
• Answering routine and emergency calls, monitoring alarms and video equipment including fire alarms, door alarms, and duress alarms and provides general assistance to both employees and guests
• Maintains various records of communications and events
• Use multiple internal and external resources to gather and manage information and intelligence
• Escalate (without delay) complaints and unusual/critical event information to the Supervisor
• Accurately maintains control of all equipment and keys in the SOC. Accurately logs all equipment and keys signed out and returned by Security or other parties
• Informs (without delay) the Supervisor of any missing, damaged, or inoperative equipment or communications, alarm, CCTV, or other systems
• Proactively monitors all surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs. Monitors and responds to all security and safety system alarms
• Answers and responds to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones and intercoms. Controls and monitors the two-way communication systems

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Valid AZ Security License required

Valid AZ Driver’s License required

Minimum of two - three years of experience as an assistant security operations manager or supervisor with a contract security company or a proprietary security organization performing daily supervision of a Data Centre Security Team including high-end properties and/or commercial sites

Professional demeanor and appearance

Excellent computer skills

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Attentive to detail

Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Previous experience utilizing security equipment and protocols required

The SOC Operator is responsible for using best practices to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are either impactful or potentially impactful to business, the brand and or employees

The SOC Operator will monitor cameras and alarms, dispatch associated calls via telephone and radio, operate access control technology, and provide general assistance to both employees and guests

The SOC operator supports a Region and field teams as they prepare for, respond to, and recover from both crisis and non-crisis incidents

Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug testing)
