SUMMARY: The Mechanic repairs and maintains production machinery and mechanical equipment such as; coating lines, print lines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, skid tumbler, band saw, ovens, incinerators, and all ancillary equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be knowledgeable on all equipment in the Litho department to be able to set up, adjust, repair, and maintain the equipment within a proficient time frame
• Be knowledgeable and proficient in adjustment, repair and use of all line support equipment; such as Strappers, stretch wrapper, conveyors, band saw and welding equipment
• Recommend any necessary repairs or improvements to equipment to the supervisor or manager
• Work with other Litho mechanics/electricians on major breakdowns and overhaul work
• Maintain all standard maintenance procedures with qualified log
• Keep a quantitive supply of parts available for most eventualities
• Follow company personnel and product safety requirements including standards such as those from SQF and internal GMP’s
• Follow proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with State and Federal laws
• Other duties as assigned
