Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSUMMARY: The Mechanic repairs and maintains production machinery and mechanical equipment such as; coating lines, print lines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, skid tumbler, band saw, ovens, incinerators, and all ancillary equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be knowledgeable on all equipment in the Litho department to be able to set up, adjust, repair, and maintain the equipment within a proficient time frame
- Be knowledgeable and proficient in adjustment, repair and use of all line support equipment; such as Strappers, stretch wrapper, conveyors, band saw and welding equipment
- Recommend any necessary repairs or improvements to equipment to the supervisor or manager
- Work with other Litho mechanics/electricians on major breakdowns and overhaul work
- Maintain all standard maintenance procedures with qualified log
- Keep a quantitive supply of parts available for most eventualities
- Follow company personnel and product safety requirements including standards such as those from SQF and internal GMP’s
- Follow proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with State and Federal laws
- Other duties as assigned
