Buyer Analyst

Remx is seeking a Buyer Analyst for our client in the Huntington Beach area,  On-site Monday to Friday, Contract to Hire.  $65 to 70K/DOE

 As a Buyer Analyst at , you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain and ensuring seamless procurement processes. Your primary responsibility will be to establish strategies aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and resolving shortage issues to align with the company's overall growth plan. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will ensure that data is accurate and of high quality, enabling better purchasing decisions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough analysis to assess the quality and significance of data.
• Filter data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and rectify code problems.
• Assign numerical value to essential business functions for comparative analysis over time.
• Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and utilize data modeling techniques for summarization.
• Expedite purchase orders when necessary, identifying and addressing delivery problems proactively.
• Prepare comprehensive analysis reports for stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and relevant representatives.
• Maintain awareness of materials and procurement concepts, verifying data accuracy in MRP and reporting any issues.
• Implement improvement processes to reduce inventory and non-value-added work.
• Review billings from freight forwarders and US Customs for accuracy, completing necessary documentation.
• Investigate receiving discrepancies and seek resolutions.
• Assist Senior Buyer in preparing claims for lost or damaged merchandise.
• Participate in the evaluation of service providers.
• Provide internal delivery reports and necessary freight and duty numbers.

Qualifications/Competencies:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Operations Research.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
• Proficiency in data analysis, including data exploration, statistical analysis, data visualization, and report creation.
• Strong analytical skills to analyze system data and parameters effectively.
• Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues promptly, with the capability to develop alternate solutions if necessary.
