Job DescriptionJob Description

Rouge Park Golf Course and Chandler Park Golf Course have an open position for a mechanic to repair and maintain golf course equipment, both diesel and gasoline. A qualified candidate will be able to inspect, diagnose and repair utility vehicles, mowers and other mechanical equipment used in the daily care of the golf courses. Reel adjustments to the various mowers is an additional responsibility. The mechanic will work closely with the Course Superintendent to identify projects and place orders for needed parts. The mechanic is responsible for keeping accurate records of all services performed on each piece of equipment and for maintaining a safe and organized work area as mandated by federal, state and local authorities. The mechanic must be able to identify any operator errors that contribute to equipment failure and participate in retraining when necessary. This is a full-time year-round position with benefits, including medical, dental, vision and life insurance after a 90 day probationary period. Experience working with golf course equipment is preferred.
