Automotive Technician / Mechanic
Skips Garage, a family-owned and operated business, is searching for a full time (Monday thru Friday) experienced automotive technician/mechanic at our busy automotive repair facility. Our ideal candidate will be a talented, experienced individual who has proven leadership skills, is a self-motivated, detailed orientated individual who possesses strong work ethics, a positive attitude, has the ability to communicate/work well with fellow employees and customers, and owns one’s own tools.
Skips Garage is a full-service facility, dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis and repair. We value each and every customer and take pride in providing good quality services.
Automotive Technician / Mechanic Requirements:
· NH State Inspection License – or ability to receive within first 2 to 3 months of employment (required)
· Experience / knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics.
· Ability to maintain, diagnose, problem solve, and repair vehicles in a timely manner.
· Ability to work independently as well being able to work well in a team environment.
· Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
· Ability to communicate professionally to customers when necessary to explain diagnostics of vehicle and recommend repairs.
· Documents all work recommended and or performed on work order.
· Utilize computers / internet / computer diagnostics equipment as needed to properly diagnose vehicles.
· Experience using and maintaining shop tools and equipment.
· Keep workspace, service bays, and general shop equipment clean and organized.
· ASE certified preferred but not necessary.
· Light duty diesel work experience preferred but not necessary.
· Valid driver’s license for road tests when required.
