We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Bookkeeper. In this role, you will assist in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day operations of our finance department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Record financial transactions in accounting software or ledgers.
  2. Assist in reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies.
  3. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  4. Generate and send invoices to customers and clients.
  5. Track and categorize expenses, ensuring proper documentation.
  6. Enter financial data accurately into accounting systems.
  7. Maintain organized records for easy retrieval.
  8. Provide assistance during audit periods by providing documentation and explanations.
  9. Perform ad hoc financial tasks as assigned by senior staff.

Qualifications:

  • Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance is a plus but not required.
