Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. We need someone who has knowledge of the Utah market and comes with 6 or more years’ experience in estimating for a Commercial General Contractor. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in SIRQ’s ability to win future work for our company. The individual must function well in a team environment working well with other estimators.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify project requirements and potential risks.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for cost estimation.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to determine accurate pricing for materials and labor.
- Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients to secure profitable contracts.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators in the department..
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and identify opportunities for cost control.

Skills:
-OST proficiency
-Has Preconstruction experience in Construction Manager and design build formats preferred.
-Hard bid experience is expected.
-Excel proficiency preferred.
-Is an in-office position
Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, and techniques.
- Proficiency in using software tools such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar estimating software
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project documents and specifications.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Solid understanding of project management principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
