Job Title: Sr. Benefits Analyst

Pay: $30.00-35.00/hr | Based On Experience

Duration: 6-months | Potential to Extend

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40hrs/Week

Location: 100% REMOTE | Preferably Candidates Residing in the Northeast

Daily Responsibilities/Job Description:

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of employee benefits programs.
  • Support the annual benefits open enrollment process, including preparing materials and communicating with employees.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations through the third-party system (Alight).
  • Ensure that benefits and 401(k) programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA.
  • Coordinate with benefits vendors and third-party administrators to resolve employee issues and ensure service delivery.
  • Prepare regular reports on benefits utilization, costs, and trends for management review.
  • Assist in preparing benefits-related metrics for compliance reporting and audits.
  • Help with compliance reports, including non-discrimination testing for the 401(k) plan and 5500s.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding plans, eligibility, and claims processes.
  • Provide assistance to employees and assist with problem resolution.
  • Support new hire orientation sessions and exit interviews to ensure employees are informed about their benefits and 401(k) options.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefits, plan documents, and compliance reports.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in benefits and 401(k) administration in a related HR role and knowledge of 401k laws
  • Ability to manage renewals and marketings in collaboration with the company's broker
  • Participate in benefits-related projects, such as the implementation of new benefits programs or system upgrades.
  • Experience with benefits data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing employee benefits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP) and benefits administration software.

Soft Skills Needed:

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
