Financial Resources Federal Credit Union (FRFCU) is looking for a BSA & Compliance Analyst to join our Risk Administration team in making a difference in peoples’ lives.

The BSA & Compliance Analyst assists in the implementation and administration of all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance program and assists with various assignments supporting the overall regulatory compliance of the Credit Union, under the guidance of the VP Risk Management and BSA Officer. This position performs various account reviews and monitoring pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering Program, Office of Foreign Assets Control, and Customer Identification Program using industry standard and regulatory guidance to ensure the Credit Union’s compliance.

Some of your essential duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain current knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and all related Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations, as well as Credit Union-specific BSA and Cannabis Banking Policies.
  • Perform account review functions for identification and monitoring of high-risk accounts, as part of Bank Secrecy Act enhanced due diligence requirements.
  • Assist in the investigation of potential and actual fraud activity through utilization of the Credit Union’s core and compliance systems when needed. Recommend next steps in accordance with established procedures to control/minimize risk to the Credit Union.
  • Monitor account activity for suspicious patterns and activity, conduct suspicious activity report investigations, high risk member/account reviews, and recommend when to file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs). Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) within required timeframes for submission to the BSA Officer for review and filing by regulatory deadlines.
  • Prepare Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) within required timeframes for submission to the BSA Officer for review and filing by regulatory deadlines.
  • Perform bi-weekly FinCEN 314(a) verifications.
  • Perform daily OFAC/Watchlist reviews for alerts generated on Credit Union accounts, and periodic updates/reviews of Sanctioned Countries lists.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of independent audits and regulatory examinations, as required.
  • Perform a variety of functions in support of Credit Union compliance as assigned.
  • Work with staff throughout the Credit Union to facilitate the implementation and integration of risk management principles at all levels of the organization.

We ask that you have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience is required.
  • Minimum of two years of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) compliance experience, or five years of compliance and/or risk management experience, preferably in a credit union or financial institution, is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering regulations and compliance is required.
  • Working knowledge of computer software programs, including MS Office Suite, is required. Working knowledge of automated BSA/AML compliance systems is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines, is preferred.
