What You’ll Do:

  • Secure Our Networks: Protect and support our local area networks (LANs), firewalls, VPNs, and servers across the organization.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with security staff, shared services, and managed services to coordinate security activities and address issues.
  • Lead Security Projects: Act as the lead technical security resource for all projects, and manage security projects from planning to go-live.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot: Keep a close eye on system performance and quickly resolve any security issues to maintain a strong security posture.
  • Support End Users: Install, configure, and maintain security equipment to ensure our end-user community is well-protected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and implement new solutions to solve production security issues.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and solutions.
  • Manage overall Cyber Security maintenance for our business operations.
  • Partner with IT teams to remediate security vulnerabilities and respond to incidents.
  • Deploy, integrate, and configure new security solutions.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans based on risk analyses and security assessments.
  • Analyze and optimize firewall policies and configurations.
  • Manage security audits and vendor risk assessments.
  • Investigate intrusions, conduct forensic investigations, and lead incident responses.
  • Coordinate dynamic security projects from planning to execution with minimal supervision.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in IT security, with hands-on experience in complex technology deployments.
  • Healthcare Expertise: Strong knowledge of healthcare industry security and privacy policies (HIPAA, HITECH, NIST, PCI).
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing security projects, meeting deadlines, and working both independently and in teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in securing diverse systems and environments, with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop comprehensive security strategies.
  • Communication: Ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working across multiple departments to ensure secure connectivity between IT, OT, IoT, and digital domains.

Education and Certifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: GIAC Security Certifications (GSEC, CEH, GCIH, GCIA) preferred; Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE 8) preferred.
