Manufacturing Blending Operator

Employment Type: Full-time, hourly. Compensation commensurate with experience.


Description:
We are Distinctive Details, Inc., a rapidly growing automotive reconditioning manufacturing company located in Columbiana, Ohio. We are looking to fill the position of Manufacturing Blending Operator.


The candidate must be reliable, punctual, well-rounded, follow directions, able to think on their feet, be a team player and solve problems on the fly. Attention to detail, organizational ability, and the ability to multi-task is a must for this position. In a typical day, the candidate can expect to perform inspections of incoming raw chemicals upon receipt, perform maintenance and cleaning of formulation equipment as needed. Candidate will document and complete records of batch formulations. This is not a standard repetitive manufacturing job, processes and activities will change daily depending on product and customer needs. Typical hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1-hour, unpaid lunch and overtime as needed during the busy season (March-October). These overtime hours may fall on weekends. We offer paid holidays after a 90-day probation period and paid vacation after first year of service with the company.

Chemistry knowledge is not required, but applicant will be expected to learn about the product’s properties with training and experience on the job.Qualifications:
 

•       A Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED

•       Basic computer and data entry skills

•       Prior forklift experience

•        We're a small company so a 'team player' attitude is important. We all help each other

•       Working knowledge of US and Metric liquid measurements and conversions

•       Must be able to work overtime as needed

•        Required to spend 95% of an 8-hour shift standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and / or crawling to perform various tasks / functions.

•       Candidate must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs. to chest height.

•       Candidate must be able to move and manipulate 55 gallon drums utilizing provided drum handling equipment.

•       Must be able to wear and work in all PPE required including but not limited to gloves, goggles, face shield, respirator, boots, chemical resistant suit, etc.

•        Follow all safety protocols and proper chemical handling.

•       Frequently climb up and down steps
