Position Description:

LCG is seeking a Digital Media Systems Engineer (Team Lead) will serve as a Multimedia Analyst and Engineer for the client media operations team within the client Network Engineering Section. This individual will lead a team of 4-5 staff members, specializing in the design, installation, and support of high-end video post-production environments and audiovisual systems. The role involves managing all aspects of audiovisual and media operations, including live video and audio production, conference room VTC equipment, and virtual meeting support using various UC technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage a team of multimedia professionals, ensuring high performance in video post-production technology support, audiovisual system design, and media operations.

· Design, install, and support advanced video post-production environments, including managing AV-IT systems and ensuring network performance for 4K video over high-bandwidth connections.

· Oversee all levels of audiovisual and media operations, including audio/video/data signal flow, conference room VTC equipment, and live video and audio production.

· Provide expertise in virtual meeting technologies (Microsoft Teams, ZoomGov, Cisco Webex, Skype), ensuring seamless support for live, virtual, and hybrid events.

· Manage the technical setup and support of auditorium settings, board rooms, and conference rooms, ensuring optimal functionality and user satisfaction.

· Administer multimedia production systems, manage dedicated video feeds, and ensure robust network support for editing systems.

· Deliver in-depth user training and support for AV-IT systems, troubleshooting issues and ensuring efficient operation of all media technologies.

· Maintain comprehensive documentation of all network systems and services, and provide regular status reports to management.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Media Engineering, IT, etc.). A Master’s degree can substitute for 2 years of required work experience.

· Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, with at least 7 years of specialized experience in multimedia systems engineering and AV-IT operations. If no degree, 14 years of experience required.

· Proven experience leading teams in an operational environment, with a focus on media production and audiovisual support.

· Strong expertise in video post-production technology, AV-IT systems, networked multimedia environments, and virtual meeting technologies.

· Avid ACSR Elite certification is highly desired.

· The position requires availability for on-call emergency support outside of normal working hours, as necessary.

· Ability to restore and maintain the physical appearance of facilities post-installation or alteration of systems.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $122,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
