Manhattan Medical Arts is a growing multispeciality office seeking an entrepreneurial Practice Manager. We specialize in primary care, cardiology, neurologyand aesthetics at two locations to open more. The Practice Director will collaborate with C-level practice management to conceive, implement, and measure patient service and revenue growth initiatives. The Practice Manager will analyze market dynamics, patient experience, and trends to keep the practice growing and relevant. The Practice Manager must have and maintain knowledge of medical clinic operations, policies, procedures, and systems and utilize planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising skills. To maintain operational efficiency, they must work effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and public and external agencies.

Practice Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategy creation & implementation identifying, designing, and implementing growth-focused business plans and programs

Monitoring market qualitative and quantitative trends

  • Financial management has a firm grasp of practice financial status

Utilize financial data to create scenario-based forecasts
Understand links between medical billing, claims, coding, etc and financial stability

  • Analysis & Operations Develops standards and provides systems to monitor and evaluate clinic functions and finances. It also assumes responsibility for designing methods to improve.

Practices effective problem identification and resolution skills as a method of sound decision-making
Maintains active knowledge of medical billing, claims, coding, copays & co-insurances, including insurance contract negotiations
Comprehends group credentialing, in-network and out-of-network framework
Understands and participates in the quality improvement process and develops a medical practice monitoring system to ensure quality
Optimize clinical workflow, including integrating diagnostics and device strategy
Enhance EMR/EHR usage within clinical practice
Oversees HR compliance: culture, recruitment, retention, evaluation, payroll & benefits
Develops and implements efficient systems to enhance patient satisfaction and provider productivity
Lead, mentor, and manage, in cooperation with the Medical Director, the healthcare providers
Determines and demonstrates effective communication methods and defines
Knowledge of legal issues in all aspects of operations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and the rights of all patients
Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • A related graduate degree (healthcare administration, healthcare management, MD, etc.) is required.
  • 5 Years' experience in an administrative role in a medical practice, 2 of which were in a supervisory role

Skills & Abilities:

  • Lead from a place of optimism and “can-do.”
  • Ability to supervise and motivate employees to perform their duties efficiently and effectively
  • Comfortable with conflict resolution practices
  • Exceptional organizational skills to ensure that quality service is provided
  • Knowledge of procuring supplies and equipment that are needed at the clinic
  • Excellent with computer-based applications and healthcare administration systems
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for liaising with physicians, patients, healthcare providers, and specialists, as well as the public
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid understanding of financial management and an ability to forecast
  • Solid understanding of business development
  • Solid understanding of employment practices.
