The Quality Control Manager - Chemical Products will be responsible for overseeing the quality control operations at our Indianapolis, IN facility. This role is critical to ensuring that all chemical products meet the stringent quality standards set by Biosynthetic Technologies and regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical quality control, laboratory management, and compliance with industry regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team dedicated to maintaining the highest levels of product quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the quality control department to ensure all chemical products meet or exceed internal and external quality standards. Develop and implement quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Supervise laboratory operations, including testing, sampling, and analysis of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Ensure that all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the quality control process and implement changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. Lead initiatives to reduce defects and improve product consistency.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of quality control technicians and analysts. Provide training and guidance to ensure the team is equipped to perform at the highest level.

  • Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address any deviations from quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality control within the chemical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical testing methods, quality control standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing a laboratory environment and leading a quality control team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards, FDA regulations, and other relevant industry guidelines.
