Job DescriptionJob Description

Talento Search Group has an opening for a Safety Manager in the Batavia, Illinois area. This is a direct-hire position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Implement safety policies and programs throughout the plant
  • Administration and training of safety procedures
  • Perform incident investigation processes and complete root cause analysis
  • Maintain and update environmental data
  • Organize EHS activities including hearing tests, CPR training, fire extinguisher training, fire systems, etc.
  • Create, maintain, and update incident communications and EHS communications
  • Manage industrial hygiene process
  • Perform safety audits and follow ups
  • Work with supervisors, managers, and employees to reach zero injury goals
  • Assist in workers compensation case management
  • Train forklift drivers on safe operations
  • Maintain OSHA logs and workers compensation claims


Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is preferred
  • At least 5 years of safety implementation in a manufacturing environment
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills including presenting trainings to employees
  • Experience operating forklifts
