Welder Role Overview
Our client, a global leader in environmental technology, is currently seeking a Welder to join their Manufacturing and Operations Team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about achieving operational goals focusing on safety, quality, and environmental impacts. Your main responsibility will involve utilizing MIG welding equipment and techniques to weld steel modules. In this role, welders will be tasked with performing both structural and non-structural welds.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for MIG welding steel modules, encompassing both structural and non-structural welds.
Involved in diverse projects, including cutting, laying, and buttoning up.
Proficient in operating equipment such as forklifts (if required), hand tools, welding machines, welding gas, semi-automated machinery, measuring tools, and computers.
Capable of working assigned shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Education, Skills & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Welding certification in both overhead and vertical welding or the ability to pass a certification test within 90 days.
Proficiency in using hand tools, welding equipment, gas, semi-automated machinery, measuring tools, and computers is essential.
Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high-quality work.
Effective independent and collaborative team working skills.
Basic computer proficiency for tasks such as recording hours, interpreting outputs, entering information into systems, and responding to emails.
Exceptional math and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Capability to measure, compare information, and make sound judgments.
Effective communication skills to keep others informed.
Adept at comprehending and adhering to safety rules and protocols.
