Position: Staff Pharmacist (2nd Shift)

Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA

Contract Length: 12 weeks, with potential for direct hire

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 11:00 PM) with rotating weekends

Work Environment: Long-Term Care (LTC) Mail Order Pharmacy

Position Overview:

Are you an experienced pharmacist eager to advance your career in a long-term care (LTC) mail order pharmacy setting? We are looking for a meticulous and committed Staff Pharmacist to join our team in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This 12-week contract role comes with the exciting possibility of transitioning to a permanent position, allowing you to contribute significantly to patient care in an essential healthcare role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the precise dispensing of medications within a LTC mail order environment.
  • Ensure adherence to pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Accurately review and verify prescription orders.
  • Offer medication advice and counseling to both patients and healthcare providers.
  • Oversee medication inventory and conduct quality control assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with a diverse team to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Active Pennsylvania pharmacy license.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is required; experience in LTC is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on patient safety.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform efficiently and independently in a high-paced setting.
