Job DescriptionJob Description

A delivery company is offering an immediate, full-time position for a CDL-A or B Driver.  Work hours are Monday through Friday starting at 7 a.m. or 8 a.m. and you will be home every night.

Duties:

  • Gather, organize, and load items for delivery in a way that protects goods and supports efficiency
  • Ensure routine maintenance tasks are performed in a timely manner
  • Follow traffic laws and drive in a safe, and courteous manner
  • Log miles, driving hours, and other activities, especially as required to maintain compliance with federal and state laws
  • Manage fuel needs and ensure vehicles are properly fueled
  • Navigate or manage routes via GPS and other in-field technology provided by the company
  • Perform inspections to ensure the vehicle is in perfect working order and cargo is properly secured  

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid CDL-A or B license
  • Must have a clean driving record with 2 points or less
  • Must have previous driving experience
  • Must be able to perform routine maintenance duties
  • Must have the ability to follow all traffic laws and drive in a safe manner
  • Must be able to maintain accurate documentation and manage routes using GPS
  • Must have the ability to comply by all federal and state laws

Only those candidates that can pass a background, BMV check, and drug screen will be considered.
