Preschool Lead Teacher

Qualifications:

  • A strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which is lived out in a way to know Christ and make Him known.
  • A commitment to support the mission of Central Community Church, and the Preschool as an extension of the church.
  • Ability to meet the requirements of state licensing agency, which will be outlined by the Director.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs., be flexible in movement, and work with young children.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements lesson plans, bible curriculum, and monthly calendars.
  • Works to ensure a very high standard of safety and well-being of children in care.
  • Reports to the Preschool Director
  • Responsible for classroom: arrangement, set-up, tear-down, centers, decoration, sanitation, and overall classroom order and appearance.
  • Completes required number of hours of in-service training required each year, as well as retains current First Aid/CPR card.
  • Supervises assistant teachers of 3, 4, and 5 year olds.
  • Builds strong relationships with Preschool families to provide care, concern, and outreach.
  • Completes assessments (provided by CCP) and written progress reports throughout the school year.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Facilitates communication with classroom parents through emails, phone calls, handouts, and through the classroom Facebook page.
  • Attends all staff meetings and CCP events.
