Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPrideStaff is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist on behalf of our client in Hattiesburg, MS. This is a full time, temp-to-hire position ideal for a candidate seeking a position with room for growth. In this role, the Medical Receptionist serves as the main point of contact for all visitors and guests in addition to performing the following tasks:
Job Requirements:
- Greets patients as they arrive at the facility.
- Assists patients in completing all necessary forms and documentation.
- Updates patients' information within the EMR database.
- Answers telephone and handles patient inquiries.
- Calls patients and reminds them of their appointments.
- Schedules and reschedules patients' appointments.
- Protects patient and family privacy rights and maintains confidentiality of patient records in accordance with policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Great customer service and phone etiquette.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in customer service (preferred).
- At least 1 year experience working in a medical office environment preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent (required).
- Willing to complete a background check and drug screen.
