Job Responsibility Summary

  • Assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and returns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process sales transactions using the point of sale system.
  • Communicate and process sales orders from outside sales representatives daily
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular stock checks and updating inventory management systems.
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory shipments.
  • Repackage bulk lubricants for orders
  • Follow spill control plan procedures
  • Create purchase orders with vendors to replenish inventory, using purchase order requisitions.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment or customer pick-up.
  • Ensure the sales floor and warehouse are organized, clean, and safe.
  • Restock shelves and displays with incoming inventory.
  • Promote new products and services to customers.
  • Perform regular warehouse maintenance and equipment checks.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Learn driver routing and dispatch procedures as a backup for V.P. Operations
  • Communicate effectively through email.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and point of sale systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in retail sales or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to warehouse conditions, including noise and equipment operation, is expected.
  • Safety protocols must be followed to minimize risk of injury.

Communication and Coordination

  • Effective communication with customers and team members is essential.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and sales teams to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.
  • Communicate effectively through email.

Tools and Equipment

  • Use of point of sale systems, inventory management systems, and standard warehouse equipment.
  • Operation of Pallet Jacks, Sit down Forklifts, and Oil Transfer Carts are a regular occurrence.
  • Maintenance and proper use of tools and equipment are required.

Training and Development

  • On-the-job training is provided for point of sale systems and inventory management.
  • Opportunities for career advancement within the company.

Safety and Compliance

  • Adherence to safety standards and regulations is mandatory.
  • Regular safety audits and checks are conducted.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Professional interaction with customers and team members is required.
  • Must be able to work well within a team.
