Job Description:

· Responsible for the assembly of complete prototype and production aircrafts, and test articles by installing a variety of sheet metal, Composite and/or machined assemblies for new or modified articles according to engineering instructions.

· Responsible for supporting lesser grade team members in the proper assembly and installation of major aircraft assemblies, as required to meet engineering and schedule objectives.

· Responsible for FO prevention in all articles and aircrafts that they are assigned to.

· Familiar with the proper use of assembly tooling and fixtures, as well as various precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, scales, and all types of gages.

· May build shop-aids, jigs, and fixtures for Experimental projects.

· Responsible for own work.

· Performs other related duties as required.

 

Requirements:

· High School or GED equivalent

· Minimum 3 to 5 years sheet metal airframe assembly experience required

 

Tools required for this role:

Air tools,

1. Standard drill

2. 90 degree drill

3. Rivet gun/bucking bars

4. Dotco

 

Other tools,

1. Scales. 6 and 12”, tape measure

2. Dial calipers

3. Cleco plyers

4. Donut for installing/removing draw clecos

5. Mallet/hammer

6. Spring punch and standard punch set

7. Standard socket set/wrenches

8. Standard screwdriver set/plyers
