Job Summary: The CDL Driver is responsible for operating commercial vehicles to transport goods between locations. This role involves adhering to all safety regulations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring that deliveries are completed on time and in good condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate commercial vehicles (e.g., trucks, trailers) safely and efficiently according to company and regulatory standards.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure they are in good working condition, performing basic maintenance checks as needed.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes to meet delivery schedules.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring that items are secured and protected during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs, mileage, and any incidents or issues encountered.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, including those specific to hazardous materials, if applicable.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and address any issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients and addressing any questions or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with an excellent driving record.
  • Proven experience as a CDL driver, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to operate and maneuver various types of commercial vehicles.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy items, as required by the load.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for performing vehicle inspections and minor repairs.
