Simulator Product Solutions LLC (www.simulatorps.com) is a well-established and profitable sub $10 million company conveniently located off the 405 freeway in Carson. We specialize in custom niche products and are well known in our industry. We’re looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our 25+ person team on a full-time basis.

Overview

The production planner is responsible for creating master production schedules balancing anticipated customer demands in partnership with the sales, purchasing, and production teams as well as acting as the interface with the engineering department to ensure exceptional on-time delivery performance.

  • Plans and manages production schedules and orders to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize company’s productive capacity.
  • Maintains daily status of in process orders on the production floor and flags risk of schedule delays to Operations Manager and the support teams.
  • Coordinates with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Sales and Engineering teams to ensure clear order prioritization and on-time delivery.

·       Proactively monitors production schedules and takes necessary action(s) to prevent delays because of design changes, labor or material shortages, backlog, or other interruptions that may impact delivery dates.

·       Provides status reports for production orders and expected ship dates.

·       Produces, updates, and communicates monthly and quarterly master production schedule, and associated work orders.

·       Processes requisition, receives quotes, and places purchase order necessary to meet production demand by monitoring and conducting follow-ups on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

·       Performs Purchasing functions and is responsible for supply chain management as needed.

Experience and Skills

-        Experienced in Planning and master scheduling and production control, preferably in an Aerospace Manufacturing. (4 years minimum).

-        Experience with MRP systems, preferably Fishbowl.

-        Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) and ability to read schematics.

-        Electronic / Electromechanical product experience is a plus.

-        Experience creating manufacturing work orders.

-        Ability to prioritize and multitask.

-        Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written) and organizational skills.

-        Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Job Type

Full-time. Market salary based on experience as well as paid vacation and sick time, health insurance, 401k Plan with match, and other benefits.
