Landscape Estimator / Inside Salesperson:

Oswego Landscape Maintenance Co. is seeking a highly motivated Landscape Construction Estimator/Inside Salesperson to join our team. We have worked diligently through the years to build strong relationships with our clients and conduct business utilizing our fundamental core values: integrity, professionalism & teamwork.

Description:

The Landscape Construction Estimator/ Inside Salesperson must be proficient in estimating all types of small commercial landscaping projects as well as enhancement/replacement projects. The Estimator will prepare estimates, written specifications, and formal proposals as well as communicate with prospects about the estimated work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyze and compile estimate data that impact the cost of labor, materials, equipment requirements, location, and other factors to ensure a high quality, complete and timely estimate.

• Review drawings, specifications, project site conditions; record findings and solicit qualified subcontractor proposals to be made part of the final project estimate.

• Review “take off” quantities to ensure accuracy of data used in estimates.

• Analyze alternative solutions, construction methods and value engineering to increase competitiveness of the bid.

• Candidate must have the ability to work on multiple estimates simultaneously.

• Ability to create accurate conceptual budgets as well as detailed final construction documents in competitive bid deliveries.

• Present estimate and participate in bid/scope reviews with Sales Manager to ensure accuracy and completeness. Present estimate to Prospect and follow up on the completion of the sale

•. Knowledge of landscape construction methods, materials, and sequencing

• Knowledge of the laws and ordinances regulating building construction

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency with all MS Office Products (outlook, word, excel, PP, MS Project, etc.) & Acrobat. Experience working with E-takeoff and LMN Software helpful but not required.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, must be a team player, must be professionally presentable, ambitious, organized, self-motivated with enough drive and commitment to succeed with minimal oversight.

• Keen attention to detail, strong decision making, problem solving, and negotiating skills

• Experience, understanding and proficient in the interpretation and meaning of Civil, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Landscape Drawings.

• The ability to develop, prepare, evaluate & present initial construction schedules.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent and pursuing college credit in the horticultural field, or equivalent technical training and/or work experience

• 5 years (consecutive & current) years of Landscape Construction Estimating.
