Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary:  The skilled landscape laborer maintains high-end residential landscapes by performing various tasks such as weeding, trimming, cutting lawns and planting flowers.  He/she will work on a team or individually to ensure customers’ outdoor properties appear clean, groomed and safe.

Key Responsibilities

•       Cuts lawn using hand push or electric reel mower

•       Maintains areas around lawn by trimming and edges near walkways, flower beds, walls, etc., pulling weeds, trimming trees and hedges and blowing/sweeping pavement areas

•       Plants seasonal plants flowers, trees and shrubs and prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth.

•       Cleans walkways, patios and/or other exteriors using pressure washers, as needed.

•       Performs other general landscape related tasks, as needed

•       Ensures the premise is safe and fixes any potential hazards.

•       Other duties as assigned by employer

 

Required Skills and Experience

•       At least one year experience in grounds keeping or related work

•       Experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude preferred.

•       Bilingual preferred

•       Have the ability to work well with others   

•       Working knowledge of lawn equipment.

Physical and Other Requirements

•       Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 lbs.

•       Must be able to handle working outside for extended periods with high outdoor temperatures

•       Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required

•       Must be able to move around neighborhood.

•       May be required to work during weather emergencies or business closures in order to meet operational requirements

•       Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
