ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare early and final loan documents
- Order credit reports, appraisals, title work, environmental reports, etc.
- Compose correspondence, organize and maintains files, and perform additional operational and administrative support duties as requested
- File and/or scan applicable loan documents
- Interview customers to obtain credit and financial information
- Receive consumer loan applications
- Log and review declined and withdrawn loan files
- Monitor maturing loans report to ensure timely renewals
- Monitor collection report to reduce past due loan payments
- Provide ongoing communication to client to ensure the loan process runs smoothly
- Process paid off loans including but not limited to preparing and recording Deed of Trust Releases, Certificates of Satisfaction, and title releases
- Process incoming and outgoing for the loan department
- Provide operations functions for the note department
- Responsible for loan exception tracking and clearing exceptions to include working with the parties involved in the closing such as attorneys, title companies, insurance agencies, etc.
- Involve the loan officer to clear exceptions were needed
- Verify insurance policies and track renewals
- Work NSF/Overdraft report
- Assist customer with loan and deposit questions
- Assist tellers and CSR with general banking questions/needs
- Key wires for both loan and deposit customers and send notifications to Wire Department
- Respond to large dollar email when deposited checks get returned
- Answer the phone and assist customers with balance inquiries, transfers, payments, etc.
- Greet customers and walk-ins
- Be knowledgeable about and cross sell all First Bank and Trust products
- Cross sells bank products and services
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent - required.
- Associate's degree - Accounting, Business, Finance, Communications and/or Marketing - preferred.
- Three or more years of customer service experience - preferred.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Excellent networking skills
- Detail oriented and organized.
