Job DescriptionJob Description

Cedar Springs Weekday School in West Knoxville is now accepting applications for afternoon co-teacher with either our preschool or after school program. Preschool position is M/W/F 1:30-5:30 pm; School Age Care is T/Th/F 2:00-5:30 pm. Accepted candidates will be asked to fill out a detailed application.

Required qualifications are: high school graduate, paid child care experience, and must be at least 21 years old. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and supporting their educational and emotional development. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on young minds in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Care for students in the 2 or 3 year old class; or school age care
- Provide individualized attention and support to students
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
- Support students in their social and emotional growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive learning atmosphere

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Ability to assist in tutoring students as needed
- Strong classroom management skills
- Previous experience in a daycare, camp, or educational setting is preferred
