Church Administrator

The New Bluffton Worship, a community of faith, is searching for a Church Administrator to join our team in Bluffton SC. We are searching for someone that is strong in decision-making, communication and has the right determination for the job.

Key Responsibilities

Oversees the day-to-day administrative operations of the church office. Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers; provide information to direct inquiries appropriately. 

Oversees recruitment, hiring and training of staff – manages staff including Worship Band, Youth Leaders, Children’s Church Leader, Etc.

Coordinate scheduling for church facilities including room reservations for meetings and events. 

Manage correspondence including emails, phone calls, letters, newsletters, and Worship,Learn Serve guides. 

Maintain accurate records including membership databases, baptismal registers, giving records etc.

Work closely with pastoral staff to prepare weekly service materials such as Worship, Learn, Serve guides.

 Organize special events; manage logistics such as catering or travel arrangements.

Maintains the whole church calendar including the scheduling of Worship Band practices.

Assists with various committees to facilitate the purpose of the committee.

Oversees the use of church facilities by groups or organizations in coordination with the church calendar

Maintains the church website and all social media platforms.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor and the Executive Pastor, to effectively meet the objectives of the job.

Education and Experience

This position requires strong organizational and leadership skills, financial management experience, and knowledgeable with technology. The candidate must have a spiritual background and commitment to the church and to the ministry of the church. The candidate must also maintain discretion and confidentiality as the administrator often works with highly confidential information and sensitive situations. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with pastors, church staff, volunteers, and church members. Possession of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, non-profit management, or a related field preferred but will train the right candidate.

Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
