Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for a 2nd shift Maintenance Tech to do all repairs, installs, and performs preventive maintenance on all Food production equipment to ensure that such equipment is in good operable condition at all times. Uses electrical and mechanical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, install and perform preventive and interactive maintenance on all production equipment accessories to ensure that all equipment is in good operable condition at all times. Hours are Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm. Pay is $30.00 per hour.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install, operates, maintains, checks, and trouble-shoots all types of A/C and D/C electrical

equipment. Install, trouble-shoot, and repair solid state and electronic equipment as well as mechanical equipment.

  • Uses safe working practices and reports/repairs any hazard conditions at all times.
  • Inspects machines, takes any required test, and completes "all" reports and paperwork as required.
  • . Perform PM and repair work in accordance with standards.
  • Diagnoses and employs proper procedure of troubleshooting to determine when parts

need replacement and when repairs are necessary.

  • Dismantles, repairs, and re-assembles gearboxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pump, valve, and mechanical equipment when directed.
  • Dismantles, repairs, and re-assembles electrical motors, relays, timers, and allied

electrical equipment.

  • Installs and repairs electrical conduit, cables, piping, tubing, controls, and grounding as directed.
  • Operates mobile lift truck and hoisting in the performance of maintenance work. Possess knowledge of simple rigging when necessary for equipment moving and relocation.
  • Help maintain spare parts inventory for plant.
