We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Rightway Diesel. As a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. 

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions

- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.

- Conduct inspections to identify mechanical or electrical issues and determine appropriate repair procedures.

- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair engine and vehicle systems.

- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.

- Order parts and supplies as needed for repairs and maintenance tasks.

- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.

 

**Requirements:**

 

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics preferred not required 

- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in a heavy-duty or commercial vehicle environment.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.

- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in troubleshooting and repairs.

- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.CDL is a plus
