Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAerospace manufacturer is seeking an Aircraft Painter/Process Mechanic.
Job Duties:
- Shoot primers and top coats to Mil specs on multiple surface types
- Mix paints per manufactures specs
- Preparation of parts prior to painting including masking, sanding, and cleaning
- Complete workflow documentation thoroughly and properly as requires
- Inspection: Knowledge of the expected response and appearance of the material being painted
- Clean and repair paint equipment
- Touch-up parts as needed
- Wear proper safety equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures at all times
- Keep work area clean
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience with application of primer, fuel cell, and top coat
- Dependable, team-oriented, and good communication skills
- Previous experience in aerospace painting environment preferred
- Must be self-motivated and produce quality work
- Excellent attendance and positive attitude is required
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 18 years of age
Working Conditions:
- Some overtime and flexible work hours may be necessary
- Ability to regularly and frequently lift 50 pounds
- Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment. Exposure to hot and cold work environments. Hours: Second Shift; Mon. - Fri., 2:15 to 10:45 p.m. (1 opening)
Compensation: $20 to $25/HR.
