Requirements

Education Required: High School Diploma. Two years of technical school is preferred.

Experience Required: Minimum of two years’ experience in automotive, autobody repair, welding and/or trailer repair/service.

Skill, Knowledge and Abilities: Must have the ability to diagnose and repair any problems with trailers or snow and ice equipment rapidly and accurately, independent analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, proficient reading and using a tape measure.

Physical Requirements: Standing for 8 hours per day, consistently walking and the ability to lift 100 lbs.

 

Responsibilities – the key responsibilities for this position include:

·         Meet weekly efficiency goals.

·         Meet weekly utilization goals.

·         Meet weekly productivity goals.

·         Minimize complaints and rework through quality control.

·         Repairs, maintains and services customer equipment per the direction of the Service Writer.

·         Maintains in good condition all service tools and service vehicles.

·         Maintains a clean work area and all other areas of the shop.

·         Responsible for the safety of service technicians and maintaining a safe working environment in the shop area and reporting all accidents to Human Resources immediately.

·         Maintains service library.
