Job Summary: The Entry Level Sales Manager is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service and driving the company's success in meeting customer requirements and business goals. This role is responsible for building and maintaining long-term, trusting relationships with customers, managing a portfolio of assigned clients, developing new business from existing customers, and actively seeking new sales opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct Reports: Inside Sales Specialist

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Manage, coach, and motivate the Inside Sales team to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with company objectives.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate sales performance, making adjustments to improve results.
  • Prepare sales budgets and projections and approve expenditures.
  • Track and analyze sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding products and services.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with senior sales leadership to develop and execute promotions and marketing campaigns.
  • Represent the organization to internal and external partners, setting annual sales goals and quotas.
  • Identify emerging markets to uncover new sales opportunities.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address customer needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent leadership skills to motivate and manage the Inside Sales team.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, budgeting, and data analysis.
  • Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a relevant field. An associate degree with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in manufacturing or product sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to manage and motivate others, with prior leadership or management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, techniques, and customer relationship management.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, products, and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
