Located in a stimulating environment that encourages creativity and development, LLA seeks a passionate and experienced Infant Teacher to nurture the youngest of our little leaders.

Role Overview:
As an Infant Teacher at LLA, you will be pivotal in providing high-quality care and educational programming for infants aged [specific age range, e.g., 6 weeks to 12 months]. This position demands a compassionate, patient, and adaptable individual focused on fostering a safe and nurturing environment conducive to each infant's developmental needs.

Position: Infant Teacher
Location: Atlanta, GA
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, shifts between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Start Date: Immediate

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that support cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Provide attentive, high-quality care, including diapering, feeding, and comforting.
  • Establish and maintain a clean, safe, and engaging learning environment.
  • Conduct daily communications with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress, routines, and developmental milestones.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to infant care and education.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions.
  • Adhere to all state licensing regulations and safety guidelines.


Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or relevant early childhood education coursework is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in infant care and early childhood education.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hiring.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with infant care and classroom management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with infants, parents, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of child development principles.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts within the center’s hours of operation.
  • Successfully pass required background checks.

  • Parental Communication Expertise: Exceptional communication skills with parents, potentially including experience with parent coaching or leading parent-child classes.
  • Advanced Certifications: Additional certifications related to early childhood education, such as Advanced Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials, Early Childhood Education (ECE) degrees, or specialized training in infant mental health or special needs education.
