Qualifications:

· Ability to read electrical prints.

· Familiarity with PLC, power supplies and variable frequency drives.

· Knowledge of industrial AC and DC voltages.

· Usage of a multi-meter to read voltages and continuity.

· Basic electrical theory and troubleshooting.

· Basic mechanical knowledge.

· Ability to multi-task and shift between concurrent projects.

· Must be a self-motivated individual that will be able to work well with others on projects.

· Must have a current driver’s license and reliable transportation.

· Use of common hand tools and power tools including wire cutters, crimpers, drills, taps, knockouts, jig saws, band saws and grinders to prepare and assemble components onto panels and inside enclosures.

· Must eventually be able to work on their own set projects.

· Debugging simple electrical connection issues.

· Able to lift or move manageable size panels and enclosures onto machine frames.

· Must have your own hand tools.

· Following safety guidelines and lockout tagout procedures.

· Some on-the-job training can be provided but prior experience in the electrical field is a must.

 

Responsibilities:

· Following prints to wire and assemble electrical panels.

· Performing routine tasks in preparation for assembly, such as cutting wire, stripping, and fastening wire terminal connections.

· Soldering multi-pin connectors and shrink tubing.

· Layout, drill, punch, tap, and mounting of components into electrical enclosures and panels.

· Installing din rail and wire duct onto electrical panels.

· Routing cables and wires in cable ways.

· Be able to maneuver wires in tight spaces under machines.

· Cleaning and sometimes slightly modifying cabinets to prepare for new controls.

· Labeling wires that correspond to the prints and applying them to wires and cables.

· Wiring or unwiring of controls in cabinets of new and used machinery.

· Assisting other electrical technicians on projects when needed.

Our primary business is designing and building Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) machinery. Blow-Fill-Seal technology is an advanced aseptic manufacturing method primarily used in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industries. The BFS process involves plastic extrusion into a set of custom aluminum bronze molds where a container is formed through a blend of blown sterile air and vacuum suction. The mold shuttles under an isolated sterile filling zone where the container is formed, filled with product, and hermetically sealed all in an enclosed iso 5 shroud. HealthStar designs custom parts and molds specific to our clients’ container format, ranging in size from 0.5 ml ampoules to 1,000 ml bottles across a wide variety of designs. BFS machinery is especially popular in the production of intravenous liquid solutions, ophthalmic drugs, respiratory drugs, and unit-dose products.
