Job DescriptionJob Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation: Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, heat pumps, ductwork, and refrigeration equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This includes cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as necessary.
  • Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs efficiently and accurately. This may involve replacing defective components, adjusting controls, or recalibrating systems.
  • Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients to address their HVAC needs, provide expert advice, and ensure customer satisfaction. Communicate effectively to explain repairs, maintenance procedures, and system recommendations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service calls, including work performed, parts used, and hours spent on each job. Complete service reports and submit paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working on HVAC systems. Identify and mitigate potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to HVAC systems. Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including fellow technicians, supervisors, and support staff, to coordinate schedules, share expertise, and deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant HVAC certification (e.g., EPA 608 Certification) required.
  • Minimum of [5] years of experience working as an HVAC technician in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a variety of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and refrigeration.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime.
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and work in various environments, including confined spaces and outdoor conditions.
