Are you seeking a rewarding career with a stable company? Durez is accepting resumes for the position of Maintenance Millwright A, Full time days, Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. $31.75 per hour to start. Work will include HVAC, may include instrumentation, pipefitting, mechanical repairs to equipment, electrical work, boiler repairs, welding, or brazing, packing stuffing boxes, cleaning condensers, repairs to buildings, erection of new equipment and steel supports, and various miscellaneous types of work necessary to maintain operations of the plant. Class A Class A requires minimum supervision which means that after a foreman has properly planned a job and given the workmen instructions, either written or verbal, occasional inspection of the progress of the work is all that is required.

Job Duties:

  • Capable of planning and arranging work in an orderly way and complete with an appropriate level of instruction and supervision for Class.
  • Service all refrigeration equipment in plant and warehouse including rooftop HVAC units, split systems, process chillers, dehumidifiers, ice machines, window units, refrigerators, evaporators and condensers. Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair including but not limited to, replacing compressors, expansion valves, filters, dryers, refrigerant, oil, condenser fans, evaporator fans, electrical control components. Pump down/evacuate systems, recharge systems, reclaim refrigerant, maintain condenser and evaporator coils in clean condition through routine preventative maintenance. Keep record of PM and servicing for each unit. Procure HVAC components, tools and supplies, including refrigerant as needed. Possess and maintain refrigerant recharge, reclaim and recycling certification.
  • Ability to maintain plant instrumentation including pneumatic, electronic and analytical. Ability to calibrate equipment and maintain instruments.
  • Capable of working from a print or a sketch and taking down own field measurements and producing output on any type of job with quality workmanship.
  • Be able to do common rigging necessary for handling equipment of a type used in plant in a safe, orderly manner.
  • Have a working knowledge of materials required to use which will withstand various chemicals in the plant.
  • Be able to install, dismantle and assemble any plant machine or equipment such as compressors, vacuum pumps, pumps, gear reduction drives, including electrical work.
  • Be able to determine proper tolerances and fits on shafts, bushings, keys, bearings, etc.
  • Be able to use measuring instruments such as calipers, feelers, micrometers, levels; to give lifts, tolerances or alignments of equipment when required.
  • Be able to satisfactorily pack any stuffing gland in the plant with proper packing.
  • Be able to fabricate and erect any ordinary structure or equipment from structural steel as required by the plant, including electric, gas, welding and brazing.
  • Be able to do ordinary pipefitting, repairs to pipelines, replace, repair defective valves, etc.
  • Assist supervisor with spare parts inventory levels.
  • Maintain shop and plant to be clean and orderly and free from safety hazards.

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 5 years related experience. Journeymen's Credential preferred (not required).

Training: Must successfully complete any required regulatory training and forklift training. Additional training may be required.

Physical Action: Job requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals. This position requires the ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization. Job requires the ability to perform basic and, on some occasions, advanced mathematical calculations.
