About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Zookeeper to manage and care for our wide variety of animal species. This role is not just a job but a chance to make a significant impact on both our community and wildlife conservation efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily husbandry including feeding, habitat maintenance, and health monitoring of animals ranging from mammals to reptiles, and especially birds including raptors.

• Engaging and educational presentation of animals to diverse audiences, enhancing public understanding and appreciation of wildlife.

• Development and execution of animal enrichment activities to ensure the well-being and mental stimulation of all animals under our care.

• Contribution to our ongoing conservation and outreach programs, helping to educate the community on wildlife and environmental preservation.

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Biology, Zoology, or a related field.

• Proven experience in handling a wide variety of animal species; experience with raptors is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and punctuality with a commitment to maintaining schedules and animal care routines.

• Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills, comfortable delivering talks to crowds and engaging guests of all ages.

• Passion for animal care, conservation, and education, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
