With over six decades of commitment to quality and innovation, Jensen Meat Company is a leading name in the industry, and we are looking for a skilled Lead Driver to contribute to our continued success.

 

Experience: Minimum 7 years of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) driving experience

Schedule: Flexible, including weekends

 

Responsibilities:

Responsive and Reliable:

  • Respond promptly to all call-ins and act as a backup driver as needed.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Bilingual:

  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.

Mechanical Skills:

  • Mechanically inclined with responsibility for the maintenance and inspection of all Jensen Vehicles.
  • Conduct monthly inspections of tractors and trailers.

Routing and Operations:

  • Responsible for the daily routing of drivers.
  • Work closely with the Manager on day-to-day operations and address any concerns.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.
  • Communicate with CHP officials to ensure compliance.

Communication:

  • Regular communication with Jensen Meat Customers during scheduled deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team regarding scheduled Jensen events.

Maintenance Coordination:

  • Call maintenance service contractors for any mechanical or refrigeration breakdowns and repairs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs.

Positive Attitude and Attendance:

  • Maintain a positive attitude and excellent attendance.
