BSA Analyst

The BSA Analyst ensures that the operational needs of the BSA program are completed in a thorough and timely manner. These operational needs include but are not limited CTR review, alert reviews, case investigations, the completion of SARs and OFAC scrubs/alert review. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is willing to learn the Bank’s BSA process to ensure overall success of the Bank’s BSA Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring account activity through the Bank’s BSA/AML Software based on alerts whose parameters are set by the BSA Officer or BSA Manager. Maintain current knowledge of changing trends in these parameters.
  • Checking daily CTR’s and making the proper corrections before they’re filed.
  • Conduct case investigations, file SARs when appropriate and any additional tracking, back-up request and reviews associated with the filing of a SAR.
  • Review of OFAC scrubs/OFAC hits/OFAC Failed wires
  • Conduct new account and annual high risk account reviews.
  • Handling 314 (a)/(b)/MIL Log on a routine basis for alerts, collaborations and any other related tasks assigned by the BSA Manager to ensure the overall success of the Bank’s BSA Program.
  • Assist where needed with Internal and External audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of experience and educations.
  • Minimum 2 years Bank compliance experience; On-the-job training is provided.
  • ACAMS certification prefer but not required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks given in a timely/efficient manner.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • General understanding of Excel, Microsoft Word, and other compliance related programs.
