Job Overview:

As a Plant Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our mineral sands and mining plant. Your role is critical in ensuring efficient production, safety compliance, and optimal utilization of resources. Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:
   • Supervise and coordinate all plant activities, including production, maintenance, and safety protocols.
   • Monitor plant performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
2. Production Planning:
   • Develop production schedules to meet volume, cost, and quality targets.
   • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless production flow.
3. Safety and Compliance:
   • Implement safety procedures and ensure adherence to OSHA and industry regulations.
   • Conduct regular safety audits and promote a culture of safety awareness.
4. Resource Allocation:
   • Optimize resource allocation (personnel, equipment, materials) to maximize efficiency.
   • Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
5. Staff Leadership:
   • Lead and motivate a team of operators, technicians, and support staff.
   • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.
6. Budget Management:
   • Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses related to plant operations.
   • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
7. Continuous Improvement:
   • Identify areas for process optimization and implement best practices.
   • Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mining, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mineral sands, mining operations or asphalt operations preferred.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of plant equipment, maintenance practices, and safety protocols.
