Comfort Systems of Virginia is one of the fastest growing mechanical groups in this area. We are looking for a full-time HVAC Maintenance Technician to assist in managing this growth. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

•       Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform routine preventative maintenance on various sized heating and cooling systems to ensure proper functionality and operation.

•       Cleaning, adjusting, repairing systems, and performing warranty services including but not limited to:

o    Cleaning Coils

o    Replacing Filters

o    Performing minor HVAC repairs with guidance of Lead Service Technician or Service Manager.

o    Assisting Service Technicians with repair work and service calls.

•       Provide clear and consistent communication with the customer and your Dispatcher, keeping both up to date on progress of work performed.

•       Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.

 

Experience and Requirements:

•       High School Diploma or equivalent.

•       HVAC trade school or 1 – 3 years of prior hands-on work experience in the HVAC trade.

•       Universal EPA/CFC certifications.

•       Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and HVAC Code standards.

•       Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. 

•       Must be able to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

•       Basic computer skills for smart device/tablet and cell phone communication/documentation.

•       Dependable, with strong work ethic. 

•       Excellent communication and customer service skills.

•       Ability to work in a team environment and communicate well among all levels of employees within the company.

•       Ability to work independently and without supervision. 

•       Positive attitude which motivates others and promotes our company values internally and externally.

•       Position requires a clean driving record and acceptable background check/drug screening per company standards.
