Job DescriptionJob Description

The Lab Technician is responsible for the duties listed below:

Detailed Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product testing using standard wet chemistry practices and analytical equipment (e.g. HPLC, FTIR, UV/Vis, TLC)
  • Review and approve master manufacturing records
  • Ensure that all procedures and activities performed are GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliant.
  • Escalate non-compliance to Quality Manager and follow up on timely corrective actions.
  • Ability to assist in regulatory and third-party audits and inspections.
  • Preparing and maintaining quality records for review and completeness. This may include tracking metrics such as test results, screenshots, logs, and parameters to measure project success.
  • Input and confirm batch tickets in the ERP system.
  • Assist in the request of COAs, specification sheets, allergen information etc. from vendors as needed.
  • Maintain organized and efficient work flow and demonstrate high degree of accuracy
  • Provide technical support to Operations and Management
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Helps maintain the laboratory, equipment, glassware, and storage room in clean ready to use conditions
  • Able to work the hours of 6:00am-2:30pm

Skills Required:

  • Practical experience in HPLC, UV-VIS, FTNIR, TLC preferred
  • Microbiological experience preferred
  • Practical understanding and implementation of applicable GMPs.
  • Experience in a Quality Department located within a manufacturing plant environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Should possess laboratory and methods understanding including troubleshooting.

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma/GED or College

Experience either through on-the job training and/or combination of previous job experience.

Requirements:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
