Laborer - Septic Excavation

Entry level laborer position for a family-owned septic company working mainly throughout the tri-county and outlying areas. Position will consist of daily excavation tasks, such as digging, backfilling, and assisting septic technicians with materials, tools, and equipment. Jobs will include minor septic repairs to larger installations and is a great opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in the septic industry. This job may also assist septic technicians in septic maintenance as well.

Responsibilities

• Physical labor with excavating via digging, backfilling, shoveling/raking, etc.
• Move materials, tools, and small equipment of various weight
• Assist technicians and manager with adjacent physical tasks as need
• Keep work area and truck clean and organized as you go
• Work effectively and respectfully with co-workers
• Represent company well with appearance and interactions with customers, vendors, and general public
• Communicate effectively with team and customers

Qualifications

• prior experience in excavation labor preferred
• ability to lift 75 lbs, crouch, bend, move about easily
• motivated to work hard with integrity every day
• effective critical thinking skills
• ability to follow instructions as directed with a strong desire to learn and build new skillsets
  
• strong english communication abilities
• technology capable to use job management app, record notes, and upload pictures
• valid driver's license and good driving record
• pass background check and drug test
